The Shepherd Youth Program

Denny Brown, Coordinator

Shepherd of the Hills has various groups for young people to socialize and to grow spiritually.  We offer Youth a welcoming environment where they can grow in their understanding of self, faith, and their relationships with family, friends, community and God.  Teens participate in the whole life of Shepherd through worship, music, and drama, serving communion, helping as acolytes or teaching Church School.  Our youth are also involved in service projects, fellowship and prayer.

Youth Mission Statement

Shepherd of the Hills is actively involved with our youth. Our mission is not to convince or convert. We would like to provide a foundation for our young people to find their faith. A safe, trusting environment for conversation and recreation.

Story2

The Future Looks Bright

Our Youth Ministry program includes weekly activities for youth, grades 7th-12th.  Led by our Youth Coordinator, Denny Brown, we explore our faith and participation in the church community - as well as our physical community - including mission projects, enriching our secular lives with faith, and fellowship.  For more information, please contact Denny Brown at 602-840-3130

The Global UCC Youth Community

Shepherd youth have many opportunities to connect with the larger UCC youth community. Field trips, service projects, and retreats all provide windows of growth.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is offered each June for one week.  It is a time of fellowship, play, Bible study, and song.  At the end of the week, the children help to lead worship on Sunday morning.

Younger Children

Our 4th -6th graders enjoy monthly activities, preparing them to join the Youth Group.  These activities include mission projects as well as fellowship.  For more information, please contact Denny Brown at 602-840-3130.
